Envy

This looks a great restaurant, very nice atmosphere, nice looking menu - unfortunately it ends there. It took over an hour to get bread and oysters, the rest of the food was served sporadically over a two hour period. The manager was surprised when we left before the last course was served and then even more when we asked for a glass of prosecco to be taken off the bill as a gesture for waiting so long. Very arrogant attitude, and from someone who manages a busy London restaurant they have absolutely no idea about service or hospitality.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. Not only did the owner himself wait on our table, but he was one of the best waiters I have been served by.

The food did not disappoint either, outstanding. And there is plenty of choice.

Prices are good and below what I would expect to pay for such quality.

It's not quite your quaint European cafe culture but an absolute must while in Amsterdam.

Well not only has Envy survived it is blossoming. In my opinion expensive, but well worth the price. I go back again and again. Good food, great service and an excellent concept. Recommended for those who like something different.

It's got potential, however, terribly disappointing. Service is very slow , if you get the chef's pick, you'll pay dearly and leave very hungry.

Envy is the most over-rated restaurant in Europe! Twice visited and twice utterly dissappointed. Slow, slow, slow service, uncomfortable, and incredibly exhorbitant pricing. It won't last long. Pity.
