would disagree with previous review - had a fantastic meal here, Saturday night but not o busy, The service was amazing as was the food. Admitedly the piped music and all smoking may be off putting but the generous size of the tables meant this was not obtrusive. Had the rice menu 4 courses for 45 euros a head, absolutely sensational, one of the best meals I have had in amsterdam will definately be back here again and again.

Very poor quality food and, at best, patchy service. The dishes for the 'Christmas Menu' (at €65 per head) were very disappointing – meat and poultry was tough and dry, shellfish tasteless and lacking bite. Well executed décor, but no ability to provide a non-smoking area and slightly intrusive piped classical ‘muzak’. Occasionally attentive, but very slow service; even for hot water for tea took 15 minutes. Certainly not of the standard of many of Amsterdam's excellent Indonesian restaurants.
