Last week I had the unfortunate experience of eating at the Kobe House in Amsterdam. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and conveniently located to the town centre, but that is where any pleasure ends.

The food here is absolutely disgusting! My party of 5 ordered from the a-la-carte menu and were served chicken (more fat than chicken) and mostly dark meat at that, tasteless fried rice that reminded us more of a bowl of unsalted gruel that is served in many a children's orphanage (which we were charged 5 euro up charge for), fillet of beef (with the term fillet used lightly) as they must not know what cut a filet really is, bland and unseasoned vegetables ( with one small piece of zucchini squash) as if it some kind of delicacy and salmon that tasted as if were frozen for years!

The bill was incredibly high (about triple what it should cost) and we were constantly irritated by the manager (who walked around the place cracking poor jokes).

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE as the only thing edible was the bottled water!

You would get a better dinner eating from the dumpster at any Benihana.
