A little restaurant hidden in Amsterdam. Four years ago I reviewed this restaurant claiming it to be the best in Amsterdam for Thai food. It was. I featured it in a BBC program aired in July 2006 during the World Cup. After nationwide exposure you would have thought a small humble dwelling such as this would have valued it's growing custom. Such a shame it became a little too big for its boots. The owner obviously didn't recognise me and quite literally treat myself and my companions like dirt tutting and ushering us out as soon the minute we finished our meal although it was very empty at the time. I'm not the "Do you know who I am type" and allowed the scene to unfold. Outrageous. Rude. Overall ...impolite.

My favourite. Not a fancy restaurant but quite simply one of the best places to eat in Amsterdam. The setting? You're sat feet away from where your order is prepared and cooked. You're smelling the oils and spices being heated and blended into your favourite dish. Sat on a bench seating for four, sueezed next to strangers enjoing their meals in quiet and comfort as you sneak a peak at what they've had to maybe try that dish next time. In no time at all you're tucking into the best Thai Green Chicken Curry with boiled rice you've ever had.
Going to Amsterdam? Like Thai food? Go here. Delicious.
