Akbar

Yes the curries were good, one was better than Mayur, but the atmosphere was somewhat off-hand. It seemed that the family were gathered at the far end, waiting for their dinner, while the young lad did all the welcoming and serving. No-one took any notice of us and, considering that we were the only two eating, it would have helped if some-one had spoken to us...no-one was interested, We asked for ordinary water and were told that we had to order one bottled water if so.

My rice was partly dry because it was too long in the heater. We ate, payed and left almost unnoticed. Will not go there again. Too many items on the menu for me. It smacks of lots of pre-prepared sauces but the biriani was better than Mayur's [they give you a jug of fresh water!] Because Akbar is at the far end of the road, we expected something more special to compensate. No.
